Dear Jim,
We wanted to express our sincere thanks for the renovation that you undertook at our home. From the very beginning of the project, we were very impressed with your professionalism and expertise.
Specifically, we would like to commend you on the following:
• Outstanding communication: You kept us informed through out the entire construction process, promptly answering any questions or concerns we had. You were also nimble in juggling the schedule to maintain progress in the difficult post-hurricane period.
• High-quality crafts man ship: The quality of the workmanship is outstanding, and we are delighted with the final product. You have the best sub-contractors.
• Attention to detail: You and your team were meticulous in your attention to detail, ensuring that everything was finished to our exact specifications.
• Problem-solvings kills: There were a few unforeseen challenges (not least, the hurricane) that arose during construction, but you were able to quickly and efficiently find solutions that kept the project on track.
• Adherence to schedule: Despite ad eva stating hurricane intervening in the schedule, you completed it in a reasonable time and faster than everyone around us was able to.
• Remarked upon by our close neighbors was you and your site manager’s constant presence at the project, as well as the clean and tidy appearance of the site throughout the project. In a community that is very quick to point out neighborhood issues, we did not receive one single complaint from the HOA during the entire project.
• In addition, the professionalism of your entire team was no table: Everyone who worked on our project was courteous, respectful, and always willing to go the extra mile.
Overall, we are incredibly pleased with our experience working with Tanglewood. You and your team made the process of a major renovation of our home smooth and painless. I would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone looking for a qualified and reliable general contractor.
Thank you again for your outstanding work.
My wife and I decided that our home needed major remodeling so that we could enjoy many more trouble-free years there. We interviewed several contractors and, without hesitation, chose Jim with Tanglewood Consulting Group. Having careers in the design and construction industry, from the first meeting, we could see that Jim is a true professional in his approach to project management and attention to detail.
Good planning leads to good results, and Jim knows how to plan (pre-construction agreement to gain a full understanding of the job), estimate (subcontractor quotes until he is satisfied with the value), schedule (anticipates code inspections and supply chain issues) and execute (frequent site visits and direct contact with subs) a project, He assembles a customized team of top-notch subcontractors and consultants. Contracts are in writing with mutual detailed expectations.
We have seen firsthand that Jim is dedicated to client satisfaction. He is proactive with consistent in-person communication and frequent updates by text, email, or phone. We highly recommend Tanglewood Consulting Group for your next project.
To Whom It May Concern,
Jim Solomos and the Tanglewood Consulting team completed a full kitchen renovation in my Naples home. Having any services completed in a high-rise condominium presents its own unique challenges and I couldn’t more please with the outcome. In Fact, our onsite building managers were very complimentary of the way Jim managed all the workers while protecting the common areas and complying with our association’s rules and regulations.
Jim’s attention to preconstruction planning resulted in the project coming in under budget and completed a few days earlier than originally expected. No hidden surprises or added fees. Jim always made himself available to answer any questions and the subcontractors exhibited a level of professionalism and courtesy in all phases of the project. In fact, I was so please with Jim’s efforts, I had Jim and his team complete a second project which consisted of installing hardwood floors and repairing and repainting my dining and living rooms. My repeat business is probably more representative of my level of satisfaction than any words I could convey.
I highly recommend Jim and Tanglewood Consulting for consideration to complete your next project.
Sincerely,
This project was completed during the 2021 Covid Pandemic. We can assure you that Jim remained focused on resolving issues ranging from supply chain disruptions to labor shortages and did everything in his power to stay as close to the expected timeline as possible. Perhaps the best compliments are the complements that have been given by our neighbors who not only viewed the project’s progress, but also have seen the final results.
Sincerely,
To: Prospective clients of Jim Solomos and Tanglewood Consulting Group
My wife and I are writing this letter on behalf of Jim Solomos and Tanglewood Consulting Group who performed a magnificent renovation of our master bathroom and bedroom.
We found Jim through a conversation between my wife and an interior designer that she contracted for a lighting design project. During the conversation, my wife mentioned that she was looking for a contractor to do a renovation project. The designer recommended Jim Solomos, and my wife contacted Jim for an initial meeting. We were so impressed with Jim and his company’s credentials that we hired him for the project.
My wife and I are seasoned hospital consultants with significant project management experience, but we found Jim to be the epitome of exercising the fundamentals of project management: (1) Planning, (2) Organizing, (3) Directing, and (4) Controlling:
- PLANNING – Jim and his team spent a significant amount of time with us in the planning stage, believing that proper planning is the key to performing a successful project. His architect created impeccable blueprints that Jim, our interior designer, and my wife and I reviewed closely. No detail was overlooked. Any changes to the design or aesthetics were promptly recreated. At first, Jim seemed pushy in getting blueprints approved, schedules set, and materials selected; but as this phase progressed, we began to appreciate Jim’s style in preparing for the project to start.
- ORGANIZING – With a “perfect” plan in hand, Jim hired the most skillful contractors we have ever seen, and he referred us to the best vendors for the materials that we selected. Work schedules were planned and executed so that few gaps existed in the critical construction paths. Contractors showed up on time, worked tirelessly, and were pleasant and respectful at all times.
- DIRECTING – Jim was at our house daily, overseeing every detail of the project and ensuring that the work was performed perfectly. Any flaw, no matter how minute, was immediately rectified. This speaks loudly to the skills of each of the craftsmen that he hired.
- CONTROLLING – Jim provided us with a weekly progress report and a schedule of upcoming work. He was in constant contact with my wife, and we had frequent update meetings at our house. Questions and/or issues were answered or addressed immediately. This fundamental was performed far better than with other Project Managers we have hired.
We had high expectations for the style and quality of workmanship for this renovation and we feel that Jim and his team exceeded those expectations. We heartily recommend him to anyone who is seeking outstanding workmanship and timely execution of a new build or a renovation.

To Whom It May Concern,
If your considering hiring a contractor, we would recommend Jim Solomos and Brad Neidigh of Tanglewood Consulting.
We did a partial remodel of our condo in 2015 and had a terrible experience with our contractor. By the time the job was completed we were communicating thru our attorneys. He promised us everything and didn’t deliver on his promises. He had hidden costs that he did not tell us about or explain to us.
Needless to say, we were very leery when we looked at contractors to finish our remodel. We interviewed four contactors and selected Tanglewood Consulting. They were not the least expensive, but because of the way they explained everything and presented themselves, we felt comfortable in our decision. Jim and Brad not only finished the job ahead of time, there was no surprises or hidden costs. Seeing what they have done in our condo is awesome.
If your thinking of a remodel, we would highly recommend Jim and Brad of Tanglewood Consulting.
Sincerely,
Gordon and Mary Mairose
This past year (2017) we undertook the remodeling of the interior of the Grande Isles Towers III & IV Amenities Building. The Amenities Building consists of a Lower Lobby and Upper Lobby with Theater Room, as well as a large Social Room used for private residential functions as well as social gatherings of residents. Tanglewood Consulting Group was highly recommended by our interior designer Domnick Minella, Norris Furniture. After sitting with Jim Solomos and discussing our “wish list,” we appreciated hearing his ideas, recommendations as well as walking us through how he would tackle such a project. Once it was decided to contract with Tanglewood Consulting Group, Jim immediately began coordinating with his various vendors.
As part of the project’s scope, Jim produced a timeline of events along with projected completion dates for each vendor’s action. Jim took the responsibility to bring in the best vendors who did excellent work, on time and per the agreed upon budget. Jim was always available and was on a fixture on site inspecting the work of all his vendors making sure we were satisfied with the results. As a property manager for many years, it’s been my experience that all major projects will produce unexpected problems or issues and this project was no exception. How a contractor meets and resolves unexpected issues is what determines a contractor’s value in my opinion. Jim brought problem resolution skills to this project which made it seem effortless. To add to the complexity of this project, we commenced this project in the summer of 2017 and was ¾ complete when Hurricane Irma blew through town. Jim never missed a beat.
When there was an unexpected delay in delivering the new carpet, Jim took responsibility for following up with the carpet vendor and the carpet manufacturer. Ensuring that the new carpet was delivered and installed on time. We had the Social Room put back together, as he had promised, in plenty of time to hold our first private function. Jim Solomos always made himself available and had excellent communication skills. He never shied away from discussing unexpected issues and made sure they were resolved quickly and to our satisfaction no matter how small the issue might be. He can talk the technical side as well as communicate the same information to the layman. His many years of experience and dedication to his craft made having Jim a great asset to have on our construction project. He is the consummate professional in his industry who works for the best interest of his client. I am pleased to recommend Tanglewood Consulting Group, Inc. for your next project.
If you are considering a renovation of your home, we would like to highly recommend the Tanglewood Consulting team. So many contractors we had met with previously gave us reasons not to proceed but the gentleman at Tanglewood consulting made us feel like our dreams were possible.
My wife Jennifer and I added two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full remodel of the existing kitchen and interiors to our Logan woods home. This was our first major home remodel project and Jim and Brad made the experience extremely pleasant. What we appreciated was how every idea we had for our home was never met with resistance, it was always a “can do” attitude. Our project was on time and far exceeded our expectations. Jim and Brad stuck to the contract and made sure the planning phase was extensive to ensure everything was documented before beginning of construction. They made themselves available for any questions or concerns that Jennifer or I had through the entire course of the project, and they were always friendly and professional. All the subcontractors that we met brought the same level of professionalism and expertise. Seeing the result, we would definitely do it again, and the equity within our house justified the expense of the project.
Thank you for your consideration in this fantastic team!
We were new to Florida and had no idea who to hire initially. We got some referrals from friends and other sources and interviewed four potential contractors. Tanglewood Consulting was the first, then Cornerstone, and then two more. The interview process took awhile, with back-and-forth questions about design and pricing. We selected Tanglewood Consulting (Jim Solomos and Brad Neidigh) on the basis of how they presented themselves (experienced, no pressure, proof of previous projects, and letters from satisfied customers). We were also impressed with their plan to seal off the interior rooms to protect all of our new furniture and carpets from the dust of the demolition and construction process. We chose Tanglewood Consulting without knowing what the final cost would be. We told them what we wanted and they came back with questions and suggestions and then gave us the final price based on the selections we had made. When we told them the price was over our budget, they showed us where we could reduce the cost to meet our budget. We made our selections and closed the deal.
We left to go back to our Michigan house on June 1st, 2016, and we returned on October 4th. During the three months of remodeling, Brad Neidigh (the project manager) kept us informed with weekly pictures of the work-in-process. He replied quickly to all of our e-mails when we had any questions. He also arranged for Habitat For Humanity to take our kitchen appliances. When we returned, we were very happy with the transformation that had taken place. All of the furniture and carpeting was back in place and there was no dust or damage to anything. We had our A/C system serviced and checked for dust and they said they could not find any. A week after we arrived, Brad came to see what we thought needed attention and we put together a short “punch list”. Brad notified their sub-contractors and cleaned up the list quickly.
We made the right decision when we picked Jim and Brad. They made us feel like we were their most important customer. There were no surprises and no additional charges. The work was completed in three months and the quality of the work was excellent. This was a major renovation and the demolition process alone took one month.
If you are considering hiring a contractor, we think Jim Solomos and Brad Neidigh of Tanglewood Consulting should be on your “A” list. We are very happy we chose them and we think you will be also.
Secret Places, has been trading in Europe and the USA since 1997 providing management services and properties to the prestige vacation rental market.
Our offices in SW Florida opened in Fort Myers in 2002 and relocated to Cape Coral in 2009.
It is fundamental to our business success that we maintain a portfolio of partnerships with consultants, contractors, and affiliates who understand our business and the importance of the quality and performance standards that satisfy our customers, and keep us competitive.
It is in this context that we began our association with Tanglewood Consulting Group under the direction of Jim Solomos.
Jim is an experienced professional who brings a committed customer-oriented approach, and a willingness to offer valuable advice to his work. He believes in “honest value” and our experience is that he strives to deliver this in all of his projects. He does not tolerate inferior quality in materials, workmanship or service levels, and this has worked to our advantage in all of our dealings with him.
When we re-located our principal office from Fort Myers to Cape Coral we called on Jim’s expertise to transform two somewhat dated office units into a single integrated whole that reflects the contemporary and sophisticated image that we aim to project to our clients.
As well as realizing our vision for the workplace, we were pleased that Jim faultlessly negotiated the permitting and inspection procedures and ensured that new and updated building and fire protection codes were seamlessly integrated into the renovation.
The majority of Secret Places’ clients are international property investors, and over the last seven years, we have turned to Jim for help, advice, and supervision with several projects including residential home remodeling, from design concept to detailed architectural plans, design-and-build custom home proposals and even damage restoration.
As a consequence of the confidence we have gained in Jim over this time, it was an easy decision to enlist him to lead our own custom home project, and he has made the development experience from an initial wish-list, to productive discussions with an experienced architect, to final plans and a production schedule, a most enjoyable experience.
A particular measure of his integrity that we admire in a business not known for its restraint, is that he does not “oversell”. Jim will not knowingly saddle his customers with long-term expensive liabilities for the sake of short-term low-cost fixes. There is an adage that says: “If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing well the first time” – and Jim lives by this motto in his professional life.
The directors of Secret Places have no hesitation in recommending Jim Solomos to the business community of SW Florida.
I have had the privilege of working with Jim Solomos of Tanglewood Consulting Group, Inc. for the past 6 years in the construction of many commercial buildings, tenant improvements and high end residential products. He has contributed immensely with his knowledge of value engineering in the design process which has resulted in financial savings to his clients. He is efficient in planning his projects, punctual in meeting deadlines and consistently adheres to the highest standards and guidelines in our industry.
Occasionally conflicts and challenges have arisen during construction of these projects and Jim has been invaluable in their resolution and to the coordination of the progress of the work. He has excellent managerial skills and is highly organized and very knowledgeable of the construction process. He also deals extremely well with the diverse parties present on the various construction sites.
I have found Jim to be fully competent and extremely conscientious during all phases of our mutual projects. Jim is a “take charge” individual who addresses problems and concerns with immediate attention and resolve. He also posseses strong communication and “people skills”.
His many years of experience, hard work, dedication and passion for our industry make Jim a great asset to the construction process.
If I can be of further assistance in the review of his qualifications, please contact me.
Now that I am back in possession of my condo and have had time to enjoy the remodel, I wanted to take the opportunity of writing to you to express my gratitude for the conscientious way that you supervised and co-ordinated this project to realize such as great outcome.
From the start I was aware that there are always challenges associated with modernizing and enhancing an older property with high-end and upscale renovations, so I was particularly impressed that the finished results, from the coffered ceilings and extensive trimwork, to the maple hardwood floors and the very stylish under-lit onyx countertops, completely met my expectations.
Can I also thank you for working so co-operatively with the Condo Association management. It is so easy to ruin good relationships by failing to take care of the issuers of noise, dirt, and general disruption. Although I wasn’t there myself while the work progressed, I get the distinct impression that you went that extra step to keep the job site and all the access routes clean and orderly for the other residents over a prolonged period and this was definitely appreciated.
You can appreciate, Jim, that I set high standards for my personal surroundings and the best compliment I can pay to you is that I would not hesitate to engage your services again on a future project or to recommend you to my friends and associates.
On October 13, 2010, my wife and I woke up in our home on 1010 Aqua Lane I Fort Myers to a fire which consumed 2/3 of our home and we barely escaped with our lives. After leveling our home and negotiating with the insurance company, construction of our new 6,200 square foot home began August 8, 2011. Through Jim’s Hard work and professionalism, we moved into our home 4 ½ months later. Jim spent 10-12 hours a day sometimes 7 days per week making sure everything went smoothly. At one point, as the end of our insurance rental agreement was approaching, Jim worked 45 days in succession. That dedication in today’s workforce is nearly impossible to find. There were as many as 8 different trades on site at any one time and they worked harmoniously under Jim’s direction. The insurance company would only allow us 12 months for temporary housing and Jim kept that in mind making every effort to get us back into our home as soon as possible. His attention to detail and his choice of quality tradesmen led to spectacular result of which we are extremely happy and proud. Jim was such a pleasure to work with and made difficult time much more bearable.
I cannot more highly recommend Jim Solomos to any family, friends, or colleagues who are contemplating building a new home or remodeling their existing home. His individual attention he gave to our project was truly remarkable. His knowledge of building and his honesty and integrity are his trademark.
There are no words to describe our gratitude to Jim. He took time away from his wife and family in order to get us back into our house. His compassion for us and his dedication to his profession is remarkable.
